Meet the visionary behind Ingenzi Initiative,Mr Philbert NDUGU, born and raised in the vibrant Southern district of Ruhango. As the 9th child in a bustling family with one brother and seven sisters, he learned early on the value of sharing and collaboration. Growing up, his close-knit community and social interactions laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mutual support.

His academic journey took him to Annamalai University in India, where he earned a Master’s degree in Population Development. This experience broadened his perspective and equipped him with the knowledge to address complex socio-economic issues. His professional career has been diverse and impactful, including roles with the Rwanda Tennis Federation and other organizations, where he honed his skills in leadership, teamwork, and conflict management.

A turning point came when he encountered the National Institute of Statistics in Rwanda’s report, highlighting a troubling 15.2% unemployment rate, particularly among young people aged 16-35. This revelation ignited his passion to make a difference, leading him to establish Ingenzi Initiative.
